Buena Vista Transfer Station Lists Daily Hours and 2026 Disposal Rates

BUENA VISTA, Amador County — The Western Amador Recycling Facility, also known as the Buena Vista Transfer Station, provides a regular seven-day disposal option for Amador County residents.

The county’s waste-services directory lists the site at 6500 Buena Vista Road, Ione, CA 95640. Regular hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Sunday. Republic Services operates the facility, and the listing gives 209-274-2237 for questions.

Rates and different waste types

Amador County links to a transfer-station rate schedule effective January 1, 2026. Charges vary by material and load, so people bringing construction debris, appliances or unusually large amounts of waste should seek a current fee quotation rather than assume a single price applies.

Not everything is accepted every day

Ordinary transfer-station hours are different from the twice-monthly household hazardous-waste collection events, which operate on designated Saturdays. Chemicals and other controlled material should be handled under those separate program rules.

The county also warns that transfer stations may close for maintenance or inspection. Verify an essential visit in advance, secure the load in transit and avoid illegal dumping.
